The reason we apologized to you was because you were not supposed to be unbanned in the first place. You should have remained banned, and therefore taken things through the proper channels via a ban appeal.

Read This Thread Completely Before Commenting Recently on the server, there has been a lot of controversy over suspected cheater(s) being un-banned and banned. As well as it seems the staff is not handling the situation the way it should be handled. When it comes to these suspected hacker(s), they will be banned, then un-banned later that day within a few hours and this has raised some questions throughout the players of the community. Why are these player(s) being banned 2x+ for "suspected cheating" yet un-banned every time? One second a staff member will see proof and see a situation with his own eyes, and say 100% this player is cheating. Next thing, the player will be un-banned an hour later or so and the staff will claim it as "Desync" or "A glitch in the logs/game." It seems very hard to believe that these "Glitches" and "Desync" keep happening to these suspected player(s) and no one else. I feel that if 95% of the server says someone's cheating, the staff should be handling the situation right away. I don't understand how staff changes their minds so suddenly and it honestly seems somewhat off. It seems the staff has a biased towards these "suspected cheater(s)" in one way or another. The situation should be dealt with immediately and the video evidence should be looked through and analyzed using common sense and logic without any bias, yet it seems this is not happening. I want this server to thrive, considering it is one of the only Takistan Life servers left and I very much enjoy playing on it. Yet it feels that sooner or later this community will go down if the players are constantly upset over a player cheating. The staff seems to be biased, the players are upset, and frankly, nothing is being changed or done about it. With these "suspected cheaters()" running around making players more and more upset, the server will die out quicker than you think and there will be nothing left for people to enjoy. So please take this thread seriously, and see where I'm coming from, from a players perspective, and not a staff member. I hope these issues get fixed throughout the staff team, and throughout the community, so we can all go back to enjoying the game without any frustration of "suspected cheater(s)". There is server bias you claim "Hand to the director"

To give my two cents, I believe Abu Jasem should be unbanned. From the videos, it is clear that 10 times out of 10, that the amount of evidence for Abu hacking is inconclusive. As previously said, he has been a long time player, and it would be nearly impossible for him to go through 4 different owners and staff of TLX, without having to be caught for hacking. I've reviewed the evidence multiple times, and talked over with it other staff which have always led to be inconclusive due to desync or lag. I do not think that it is fair how Abu Jasem was put into this situation, being banned and unbanned multiple times, which is why I'm giving his appeal a 1+.

@Captain i apologize if i disrespected any staff but im sure anyone else would have reacted the same way.. i am completely innocent an unfortunate events just happened, that fact that MULTIPLE hack complaints have come my way is because i am the most active player im always killing blufor an opfor, i have the highest points, so it is obvious that im prone to these desync and lag issues when im out there the most.. that is why i downloaded a recording software after my second ban an unban an im happy to show all my recording all the time, just to be able to get rid of these false accusation

I've seen Abu play and I've seen a lot of third party programs. I highly doubt Abu would teleport, esp, aimbot etc. Abu is very very good. I support his unban.

Honestly, I'd 100% say if you were to use it as an insult, yes. The same as if you were to say the N word. But honestly, people cry on teamspeak about everything constantly.

[Reason for appeal] : no hacking was done AT ALL.. it was all desync an server cam glitching and lag [What you can do better] : i have already downloaded a video recording software that i will use to prove i dont hack, but i was still banned again after being banned an unbanned for these false allegations TWICE.

So today alone i have had multiple issues playing i could make this a whole big fuck off essay (it ended up being an essay) but instead i will just summarize the main points and will elaborate on them if requested 1. The lack of/no role playing from some players- Today alone i have tried to kidnap 4 people for an RP situation but every time i try to talk with them they ignore the fact i have a weapon in their face and drive off or ignore my prompts that I've taken their comms or for them to drop their gun (this happened with a cop, 2 civis and an inde) after each time i would call them out in chat and players respond with stuff like 'what did you expect' or 'don't even try RP'. this is a pretty shitty mentality for an RP server to have imo. although im not really sure how you could fix it other then punishments for players not role playing. 2. Rules regarding Offensive Words/References- This morning i got in trouble for calling another player 'Retard' and 'Melon' (i was in the wrong in this situation it was over what i thought was rdm but his hands up message got drowned out in chat from me buying items) after i shouted at him in chat some tlx members told me that offensive words/topics related to irl are not tolerated and to not use those words in future (im assuming they meant Retard and not Melon but who knows :D) but after this chat it occurred to me that last night there were people making jokes about the Florida school shooting literally minutes after it occurred saying that 'I did it' and that 'the students bullied them this morning so they killed them' this was during peak player times so there were a lot of people on so the messages could of slipped through unnoticed which i understand but i feel that what is and isn't allowed to be said should be defined before someone accidentally gets themselves in trouble for saying something they thought would be taken as banter or a joke but it actually offends someone which considering its the internet someone will always be offended. 3. some mods seems to not listen to a players defense/explanation- Bit of a touchy subject bringing mods into my issues i know don't want to get myself into trouble nor anyone else but i was in a mod case earlier where i had stolen an btr from the VIP/Supporter zone outside the cop base, i comp'd the owner of the btr his money and was about to leave when the mod told me that i would be getting a warning for stealing in a safe zone which i was shocked about since there was no marker on the map naming it a safe zone like civ terrorist hideout and the others so i tried to explain to the mod that i was unaware that it was the safe zone as it wasn't marked the VIP/Supporter role is reserved for people who donate to the server but that feature was taken out since that new policy came out from the devs or whoever it was that took away server donations so i figured the vip zones were just normal areas now alas the mod didn't want to hear what i was saying and gave me a warning which now makes it so i can't earn the supporter role for i believe a month, i think the warning was completely unnecessary considering i had no idea i couldn't steal from that zone and gladly comped the owner his money. 4. Bans- Bans are another iffy subject as each admin/mod will have a different tolerance/criteria for banning players but there are certain subjects that i feel bans shouldn't take place over for example Political views if someone disagrees with your political view i don't see why they should be punished or looked down upon, personally i have no issue with any political group because quite frankly i couldn't be arsed to but i know a player was permad recently for 'staff abuse' he was banned and unbanned multiple times for the same issue, he verbally disagreed with one of the mods over their political view, i understand verbal abuse probably took place too but i feel in order to avoid players being banned for different ideals then someone else bans should fall under a criteria instead of the mod/admins judgement as it can surely be affected if they dislike one player over another for their different views. I said i was gonna try not make this an essay and made it an essay fuck sake (sorry) , if anyone is still reading this please feel free to respond with comments on my shitty grammar and lack of punctuation or you could tell me your opinions that'd be neat. Anyway sorry for the super long ranty useless rant but hey i was bored and want to contribute to the server so why not hope you enjoyed

Hey Vinny, You got a 14 day ban for Staff Abuse and VDM, and given what I've seen Im going to suggest you wait for your ban to be over.

also +1 for unban, situation has been handled weirdly with multiple bans and unbans and Abu took your suggestion of recording so i'd say just unban him i haven't had any bad run ins with the guy so he's alright in my books also i understand that he must be very frustrated getting bounced back and forth between banned and unbanned (if it turns out you're hacking i retract my statements haha)

What if hes not hacking but knows he has desync/lag issues and is using them to his advantage? Iv had some really fun skirmishes with Abu, hes is good, but also at times iv questioned some of his movements/spotting speed/no show on thermals. Edit* As above, let the guy prove it.

ABU, If you'd want to have a chance to be unbanned, keep it as formal as you can. This is not helping you in this case. Even though i dont ahve anything to say in the final verdict of this situation, I'd say that he HAS to be using some sort of recording device that will record the situations he will end up in. But really ABU, Try to act mature, apologise to the people, record your gameplay and maybe then you might have a chance to get back onto the server. Y'all should give him 1 last chance to prove himself, I know hes had a few already, but everyone is tired of this nonsense. I never agreed it was a glitch, I gave you the benefit of the doubt at the time and removed the money from your account. But since then you've had countless accusations on your record, so therefore I don't know if I can take your word and consider it a coincidence.

im gonna add that all the vids the view distance isnt raised like it was raised from my point of view, there was no snapping at all on mycrosshairs i already knew where all those players i killed are. becuase i have many team mates an they all tell me there locations. all the videos there was for sure desync. the video of me shooting into the hill was me shooting a humvee an in MY SCREEN U CAN SEE IT but not in the admins screens, an that was desync when u see a vehicle at a spot but it is somewhere else an u shoot the vehicle at the first spot an it gets damaged at the second location. this has been verified by many other players. it is not my fault. i was not even shooting it was my ai, to me an my ai we see a humvee there but it was somewhere else. ONCE AGAIN ALL THIS WAS ALL ADDRESSED BY THE ADMINS AN THEY ALL AGRREED TO UNBAN ME. THERE JUST MAKING THIS PUBLIC TO SHOW THE REST THAT IM GOING THROUGH THE RIGHT PATH OF USING THE BAN APPEAL SYSTEM. I am going to give a -1 to this appeal The evidence has been reviewed and suggested to be Desync, it has not been proven as such as of yet. I, personally, have interpreted that there is a high probability of an unfair third party program from the evidence I have viewed. For this reason, I am going to voice my opinion that this appeal should be denied. If I am mistaken in this conviction, then I apologise, but that is the interpretation I have.

@CrazyAsian idk cuz i didnt hack. to me i was just playing normal, an theres alot of desync like when u shoot at an suv an it gets destroyed somewhere else but to me there is a suv but not to the people admin camming u cant even categorize it, because it was all events of desync an just lags admins claimed that i teleport in one video but it was just me moving from one point to another that was only like 10 meters away. an it wasnt a glitch on my part but it was a desync or a lag for them since they were monitoring. like if i was teleporting i would have gone from one end of the map to the other @JumpyWizard im not a toxic person at all.. i never thaught negatively of you at all. i dont ever remember disrespecting you. an if i ever did it might've been a joke. but this isnt about me being "toxic" its about me APARENTLY hacking.. which i never did

The specific issue at hand here will be brought up at our staff meeting today. We will go through every ounce of evidence given and make a verdict. However, one thing I will say is that this issue surrounds one specific player, not a group of players. I don't know where the plural players came from. Many accusations have been thrown around and people in general are very quick to go on a witch hunt against a suspected cheater without seeing solid evidence.

Okay, no. If you or anybody else called somebody a "faggot" they deserve to be banned for homophobia, just the same as racism should be a ban. There's simply no need to create a toxic, insulting environment. However I do agree, "being afraid of getting banned for stating an opinion" is a huge issue that needs to be addressed. Also, I've not really seen any reports about staff? I may have missed it though.

I am not the best at writing but the fact that you are afraid of getting banned because you are simply stating your opinion shows that there is something wrong. Now I believe staff shouldn’t make their own punishment, I believe there must be a List of punishments for certain broken rules and if there is one rule missing then just ask a higher up what punishment they should be given. Now regarding offensive words I think its a waste of time to get triggered over them. I mean your aren’t doing any harm by calling anyone a “faggot”. And if that person does take offense to it they can just report the player and that player can get warned for Player disrespect. But honestly if you take offense to those kinds of words than why be in the internet overall?. What really bothers me is that most of this reports are about staff. Like can we stop being a Decent server and become a Great server? Its always been a thing with TLX. Why is it that everytime the server is revived no one concentrates on Staff? I have been here for all the times the server has been revived and its been the same shit over and over again but, I do give you guys credit because this staff team is better than most staff teams I have seen in TLX so far so don’t stop there. I agree with restricting it to only adults but, I have seen some kids who have been more mature than adults. Immature Staff is always gonna be an issue unless the Higher Ups raise their expectations.

+1 I think if someone has been repeatedly reported for hacking/cheating and especially by a large portion of the players online at the time, they need to be temporarily blocked/banned from joining the server, at least until they have been cleared of any accusations or while they are under staff investigation. A common problem is some people get so frustrated they cant locate or kill someone who's been shitting on them and instantly resort to hackusations. Some people just cant handle being fucked on by someone better than them.

I haven't played much yet so i don't feel like a +1 is in measure, although in my little time i have seen a lot of people complaining about this over global and in teamspeak. If something is causing people to make a forum post and bitch over global it should be looked into, that is how other takistan life servers have died; with staff members ignoring stuff that is happening on the server because they don't care or they just think its a bit of harmless fun.

I agree that Forum Moderation is an important aspect of any community, but I disagree that it requires a specific role. Currently, the in-game staff browse the forum regularly, and can maintain it, and as such the Forum does not require a specific team to do such. For that reason, I will -1 this suggestion until a time it is deemed necessary
