This is a suggestion I've heard on multiple occasions as passive comments, but it's about time someone makes it a proper suggestion ; I would like to suggest a reassessment of the music choice for Civilians. There are multiple people who have comment that it's just plain old bad. It is regularly the first thing someone hears when they join the Server, and as such lends to the player's first impressions of the server. Personally, I have no real suggestions as to what it should be made into, so feel free to comment any suggestions you may have. Furthermore, if you believe any other introduction songs may need changing, feel free to comment so.

If you have been banned from TLX's Arma 2 OA server, the TLX Discord, or TLX Teamspeak 3, this is the thread for you. Things to consider: Filing a ban appeal does not mean in any way your ban will be lifted. Ban appeals are public and are able to receive feedback from the community. This is a serious and mature matter so it should be treated as such. Any abusive or offensive language will result in your appeal being rejected immediately. Any additional information that is not required in your appeal will decrease the chances of your ban being lifted. Failing to follow proper format will end with your appeal being rejected imminently. Ban appeal format: [In-Game Name] : (List the name that was used when the ban was issued. IE: Winters) [GUID] : (List your Arma 2 OA GUID) [Ban information] : (List the reason provided when you try to join the server. IE: Winters | RDM | 3D) [Ban Justification] : (Do you believe your ban was justified? If not, explain.) [Reason for appeal] : (Provide a detailed reason of why your ban should be lifted.) [Improvement] : (Provide a detailed description of how you can improve yourself so this doesn't happen again if your ban is lifted.) Being more detailed, professional and mature in your ban appeal will determine if your ban is lifted and how fast.

The votes on Discord indicate that people are actually more interested in making the L-39 a war vehicle over anything else, so L-39 pilots should feel lucky it's even available to them during peace. Restrictions on its use will not be lifted.

Independents can already lower gates at Checkpoint Bravo, so it's not like they're being trapped in South Takistan. Letting them do it at alpha as well somewhat defeats the purpose of the barriers, but I'll think about it - perhaps requiring lockpicks to do it.

Understand that what I have to say does not come from a place of malice, I dont have it out for anyone. What Im describing below comes honestly, professionally and with the intention of informing the community rather than slandering you. Your history on Arma servers is admirable, though lets not forget how easy it is to reach such positions simply by knowing the right people, maybe its best to take positions on servers with a pinch of salt, on saying that they're impressive titles. In the times I have dealt with you personally, You have been disrespectful to me and other staff and more importantly, disrespectful towards the players who came to report you. You have continuously showed utter disregard for any rule you don't find fits with what you want to do that at the time. I've dealt with you for firing a missile from a martial law vehicle at a team mate in rasman during peace time. I've dealt with you for kamikazeing a helicopter into the police base. What I find most interesting here is the times I've encountered you, you've shown disregard to moderators, deciding that instead of dealing with them you want to take it higher, every time. You decide that you dont want to respect the authority and position there. For this reason alone, Im going to go ahead and say I dont want to see you on the team. Because that's what we are, a team. And you've shown me that you dont respect us, why would I ever believe you'd respect the job? Of course, its not up to me, just throwing in my two cents. Good luck on your application.

KOS rule technically doesn't mean they must kill that faction on sight, it just means they are allowed to do so. As it stands right now, independents are allowed to hire PMCs. Whether it will change or not is yet to be decided and that's the reason this suggestion is here.

Hey Cucumber. As we've discussed in teamspeak, theres no evidence of your ban at all on RCon. Your GUID pulls up no results for anything. As it stands, im conflicted. With no memory of the ban, and it simply being "Trolling" from so long ago, I'm leaning on the side of unbanning you. However, I have to take into account that you were perm banned for trolling, and I have to assume the staff member Hyena had a very good reason to perm ban you. This is something that I'll abstain from making a decision on at the moment until we've had input from Gio or other older staff members who may remember the situation, or the staff member who banned you. Been with him in teamspeak, watched him try to join on RCon. Theres no ban message on RCon when he joins which is typical of an RCon ban, it simply says he disconnects.

I really see no need for a "forum moderator". TLX has always managed fine having staff handle it and there is no reason that won't be true now. The forum never has been and never will be hugely active. We don't have 50~ people posting an hour. We have 1 - 2 per hour max. And that won't change ever, gaming websites just generally are not that active. I see no reason why a normal moderator can't just look over, monitor and maintain the website as that is part of the job they were signed up for.
