I've unlocked this, I don't see an issue with the discussions and opinions that people want to share on this matter, although I will be inclined to merge any new threads on the same topic with already existing ones.

"At the border" does not have many definitions. The rules specifically state this:

War ground vehicles may be used during peacetime within 100 meters of a border checkpoint. They may only engage targets for the purpose of border protection or any targets that engage them first.

If it happens anyway, then it's on you or other players to report it, just like any other rule violation. There's nothing more we can do after it's prohibited by the rules except enforce it on a case by case basis. It's not our fault that people don't report things, instead they make broad statements about how "everyone does X."

I'd like to add that anyone who already has supporter shouldn't be posting here; this is intended for those who do not currently have any form of supporter.

If you leave before your stats save (done every 5 minutes and logged to chat) and then you relog, it'll be back to how it was last time it saved. This means your money was likely back in your bank account.

They weren't even communicating and I gained absolutely no information, i was simply talking out of context with my friend who was also in the channel.

If anything they gained more information since i told them i was in a tank, and i told them i was far away just to give them a chance because they were being swiggity rekt.

You still shouldn't be visiting their channels as an Independent, regardless of whether you're using their information or not. They don't know that.

@DefaultFun When there is more than 1 player involved, you are supposed to create a new Action field for each player, as stated in the Additional Information of the Case Report Format.

As already stated, this is in fact meta gaming and already in contravention of the rules. No new rule needs to be made.

This is the specific reason we have staff complaints. Every time someone wants to make a broad accusation like this one, I encourage them to file a staff complaint or else I don't know how you expect me or any other member of Management/Administration to know about it. Does anyone do it? No, not really... they just complain about "staff conduct" but never name names.

Unfortunately staff activity has been lacking in the past couple weeks. It's a double edged sword because some people complain that we don't have staff, while others complain that we have too many staff... That said, we do plan on hiring more staff to compensate for the times when we don't have any on.

If the case was ruled against him and he refused to pay, then he should have been banned and compensation would come from the server. That's what would have happened if it were me dealing with the situation. However, currently support staff don't have access to server compensation, so the moderator paid out of pocket, but that will be changing soon. With that in mind, he still should have been banned - not given a strike. Feel free to send me the name of the specific individual and I'll look into it. Remember that there is also a "Player Reports" section here on the forums.

Well, unfortunately we don't have the sizeable development team that other servers had. It's just me and Montel, both of us who are pretty busy and to be honest I'm not even that skilled myself, the majority of my learning has been since ownership of the server was transferred to me back in January. There's nothing secret about it. I have been pretty busy lately and haven't been able to work on it full time. Changes to the mission would include whitelisting, faction ranks/qualifications, and economical changes (shops, paychecks, prices).

I can't make any guarantees on when it will be released because my schedule is unpredictable right now.

The 0-3 we had on earlier today had no relevance to this, it was because of a BattlEye issue.

There was an Arma 2 update that broke BattlEye apparently, see the post in the announcements for more info on that. There's 16 on right now.

So that we can revoke permissions and assign responsibilities to someone else, that way we're not scrambling to do this instantly with no notice. Even 1 day notice is fine. Staff that have been resigned before have had no issue talking to me or Comrade ahead of time so we can get things set up for when they officially leave.
