  1. Staff App - Cracky.JNR

-1 Not enough effort put in I don't believe. There's a lot more you could have put in apart from flexing your account. If you had a proper description I'd update to a +1
  2. Players needed?

I don't say this often and mean it but you're a fucking cunt man. You don't need to pretend you're better than anyone else cause with the current state of the server nobody gives a shit about who you are. You should be taking what you can get. oh wait... you're too far up your own ass to actually see other peoples opinions. nobody can hack if there's nobody on the server, and at the current state the server is, its gonna be like this for a long time.
  3. Players needed?

it was a different server though. different rules. now with the reform they've gained popularity
  4. Staff App - King

+1 vast amounts of knowledge of rules
  5. Blufor Ranking

the server is a roleplay server... It's literally in the rules that you need to roleplay. If that rule wasn't a thing I would not be debating you. The whole reason of a life server is for RP
  6. Blufor Ranking

forcing people to roleplay shouldn't drive people away. If you join a life server, roleplay is what you're looking for. Look at BGA, over 30 players every night I've been on so far and roleplay is heavily enforced. No armored vehicles, roles are enforced, and they're still doing better than our server.
  7. Blufor Ranking

that's the problem, this is a Takistan Life server, not a sandbox. As it stands that's what TLX feels like, a sandbox with a few rules and factions. Law isn't enforced properly, Borders aren't manned, criminal civilians are KOS'd. If you don't force people to do their jobs properly then you have a broken faction, and that's what BLUFOR currently is.
  8. Triple Kill

not sure if that's me saying "roger dodger" or if someone stole my line
  9. I haven't seen this covered anywhere so far so I think I might be one of the first people (on this forum at least) to give a guide. Sometimes nobody will have a laser designation tool whilst the battlefield and so dropping laser GBU's is impossible. By using a few formulas you can accurately drop GBU's from 9Km away (on the border of inaccuracy here). This will most certainly keep you safe from AA, you could in theory during war drop GBU's from BLUFOR side and hit well withing OPFOR and Indi territory. Below I'm going to put a couple of formulas on how to calculate exactly how far you need to be to perfectly drop a GBU on target. I have tested this for about 3 hours in total and I consistently manage to hit withing 30m of my target (it is quite difficult to nail the altitude because of terrain being different, hence the large area). Things you will need to know: Your speed (m/s, not KM/h) and altitude t= time in (s) d = distance (the distance parallel to the ground) S = displacement (your actual distance away) formula 1: t = squareroot of your height/0.5*9.8 formula 2: d = yourspeed * (answer from formula 1) formula 3: d^2 + yourheight^2 square root that answer and you will get the distance at which you need to drop your GBU from the target in order to hit. thankfully arma 2 engine does not have any noticeable air resistance otherwise this would be impossible. I'm not sure if TLX server does but single rplayer US army showcase scenario does not In order to do this you must maintain a constant speed and a leveled altitude until the GBU is released, being below or over on the onboard virtual horizon will result in the bomb missing. Possible scenarios for uses would be when you are too far away to see the laser from the designator, when you do not want to be noticed by enemy AA and when there is no laser designation tool. Example: My speed: 183 m/s (500KM/h) my height = 500 t = SQRT(500/0,5*9.8) = 10.1s S = 183 * 10.1 = 1849 1849^2 + 500^2 = 3,668,801 SQRT(3,668,801) = 1915 m so the GBU needs to be dropped 1915 m away from the target. (if you mark the target on the map and drop it when the distance is at around 2000m away it should hit) This guide may sound pointless but this could be abused, especially from an A10 where you could hit OPFOR airfield from within NATO radar range during war (in theory, not tested that far out yet and it would be maybe accurate within 100m of where you want to hit, if you calculated the height difference however, they could hit within 30m. GBU might despawn though) Update: Here is some screenshots of me releasing the GBU and the point of impact as well as the damaged C130. I did miss but I blame that on the fact that I was trying to get a good screenshot (also the terrain, you wont be able to line up a perfect hit)
  10. GBU-12 Drop guide (Without laser)

What I'll do is work out preset heights, distances and speeds and post them. Should be much easier for everyone
  11. Staff App - LT. Potato

    -1 never seen you before
  12. Staff App - Dirty Dan

-1 never seen you before so can't vouch
  13. Create an ArmA3 TLX Server!

it's been averaging 50 players, I dont get what you mean by 0 players. sure it goes down a fair bit but when its up during peak times its constantly full
  14. Create an ArmA3 TLX Server!

TLX Arma 3 server would get dwarfed by Psysin's and would get 0 players basically
  15. Military Convoy

oh also, would the convoy be allowed to request more protection from OPFOR/BLUFOR forces? or would it have a neutral allignment to all factions?
  16. CPA......

and if it gets too hectic just request blufor to come and help. 90% of the time opfor has asked while I was there, blufor came without a second thought
  17. CPA......

CPA isn't that hard to man. If you don't check the hills that's your problem. It's made like this so you have action. What's the point of manning a checkpoint if you have an extremely small chance of conflict. I've manned CPA countless times and for an hour or so at a time and although I will admit it is hectic as fuck and quite annoying to deal with indeps so much, it's what makes the server enjoyable, the unknown factor of enemy contact. If you're on your toes at all time and have a 4 buddies then the chances of you getting killed by indeps is very low
  18. Military Convoy

+1 HMU or any other PMC's if you need help setting this up. you have 4-6 bodies if you need them
  19. Typical Blufor lmao

you guys aren't the best either. I was contracted to guard CPA and I killed 2 guys with a G36K and they came back with a T-55 and an SPG-9 offroad. Albeit there were 2 more guys there but they got to CPA well after the 2 indeps were killed
  20. Blackwater PMC Reformed

im still not on the roster as 'teargas man'
  21. Remove Insurgents

-1 I don't think indi is the problem here. BLUFOR are too incompetent to deal with them and so they turn to strykers and blow up half of rasman because they don't know any better. My opinion is that BLUFOR need actual training and need to be taught that blowing up half of the city ruins the RP aspect of the game.
  22. What is a High Valued target?

and yes I do agree with you. High value is left to personal interpretation
  23. What is a High Valued target?

If those rockets hit within your vicinity that's a direct threat to your life. The official definition of HVT is: "A target the enemy commander requires for the successful completion of the mission". if you were opfor or blufor and he was an indep or a civilian wanted for terror or other serious crimes then that would be reason to kill him. if you were a civilian then you may not kill him, same thing goes if you were part of the same faction. if you were a PMC then it is within your right to kill any civilian with a serious crime warrant as long as you declared you're peacekeeping beforehand. so the only way I can see you not being eligible to kill him if if you were a civilian
  24. With the increased activity of PMC's recently and how there is an average of 3 at one time, I feel that it's time to list a few rules that aren't officially written down yet enforced. This should help others avoid strikes and getting blacklisted: 1) PMC's may not rob the bank/ gas station under any condition. (The most they can do is offer protection to the robber) 2) PMC's can't declare terror under any condition. 3) PMC's under contract for personal protection cannot KOS anyone from an opposing faction to the client. (finding it hard to phrase this one but if a PMC is hired by an Indi, they may not kill BLU/OP FOR on sight) 4) PMC's may not contract each other. 5) PMC's may not temporarily place a contract on hold to peacekeep. 6) PMC's are not permitted to kill another PMC under any condition. these are all rules that don't officially exist but are enforced by staff. I feel that it's probably time for rules regarding most factions to be revised as there a lot of gray areas. There are definitely more rules than this but some of them I can't think of. I'm not trying to say that the staff are not doing their jobs properly but I do feel that if a rule isn't written down, then admins should not enforce it. Please consider reviewing the current rules and adding or reducing the amount. There are also a few gray areas for the president that need to be clarified.
