Okay so basically keep it to only people playing those slots + they have to be whitelisted to those slots and if they are whitelisted but not in the slot they can’t do anything involving I.A

And the reskinning is a good idea for vehicles and if someone is playing as I.A they should only be allowed to use I.A skins or if they are not in an I.A skin they can’t pull people over?

Yes, keep it in those slots, like SRT on RISE, remember?

If you pick an IA slot you are IA, if you pick a normal cop slot, you are just a regular cop. I know there will be negative sides to it, like what you should do if you see a cop acting up when you're just a regular cop. An option should be implemented so it would be possible to report cops to the IA, either easily done over side chat or even (Very far-fetched) designated TeamSpeak rooms to deal with cops not acting accordingly.

When it comes to vehicles the IA should still have access to regular vehicles, however also access to SUVs with I.A on them or something along those lines.

Of course, there should also be something similar to OpFor as it would be rude leaving them out ;)

Civ's should NOT be able to move objects, it is so freaking aggravating when they ruin the checkpoints so no one can get through, and then when u go and move them the civ's ambush u and kill u for no reason, there is WAY too many RDM's and VDM's happening, this is ridiculous! I suggest this community goes whitelisted. Just my opinion.

+1 with the fact that civilians shouldn't be given the ability to move objects, perhaps make it a finable offence when caught once, doing it twice will land you a minute or two in jail.

Whitelisting the community would be a bad idea if you ask me. It will most likely decrease the number of players on the server if you have to go through a process of being whitelisted.
Yes, I agree that the amount of RDM and VDM is too much, to be fair, there shouldn't be any RDM or VDM, however, it will always be there, even if the server gets whitelisted.

For now internal affair slots would work, but if all of them are in use but a blufor would be able to use that spot, will he still be able to pull over cops even if he’s not in the spot but has been whitelisted for it/how would they stand out from other officers?

It should be a slot that you get whitelisted to use, so let us say there's a maximum of 4 IA slots if all of them are filled out, well you need to wait if you want to be IA.

When it comes to standing out, perhaps another default skin/clothing would be added, and with that access to other vehicles etc, perhaps not better vehicles, but reskinned versions of the already existing ones.

Hey Complexity, good call was going to make a post very similair to this.

The trouble with allowing the Police Chief this power, is that any old idiot can elect themselves. I had imagined something like this would be an Internal Affairs slot ONLY to be occupied by staff and select few exemplary BLUFOR officers who have shown themselves to be oh a high standard.
This Internal Affairs officer would be authorised to ticket Police officers for traffic offences, Jail them for wrongful killing etc etc
Just someone to hold Blufor accountable for their actions, uphold standards.
Who watches the watcher's kind of thing.

Love that idea. Where do I sign up

+1 I love the idea, there should also be ranks for what vehicles you can buy. Lets say there are 10 ranks. Rank 1-2 get to buy basic vehicles (brdm2, uh-1h, uaz) and the higher levels you go you can start getting more vehicles some that are better (T90, su-25, mi24) and so on. I feel that there is good use here for ranks. So that new players dont just afk at base and get enough money to buy a t-34 cross the border and start ww3.

Yes, I am a fan of that. Besides encouraging people to actually play the game properly, it also, to a certain extent, makes sure they have a bit of experience (Granted they a new to the game) before they jump in an armed helicopter with rockets or even pull out a LAV.

  6. Good day everyone!

For the past few days, I've experienced my inventory getting reset. I still have my weapons, keys etc but not all the medikits, repair kits and bank insurances, which is both expensive to repurchase all the time and just takes time. I have tried relogging, switching to a different slot and so on. It can happen randomly when I die and respawn or when I log back in. It seems to be random and I, unfortunately, have no idea what could be causing it. I don't know if this has happened to others if so, I feel sorry for them.

I hope the issue will be looked into, if possible, and that a fix will happen soon since I have lost quite a bit of money on it.

To be honest, this seems pretty cool, I will try implement it on My test server, Gives developers over here some time to focus on other things. If the coding works, i'll submit it to either here or github

    Considering standard paycheck is 100k

    Recruits: 100k

    Privates: 125k

    Corporals: 150k

    Sergeants: 200k

    Blufor / Opfor Commander: 250k.

Paychecks will be based upon the licenses system. Recruits will have no license which allows them the standard 100k. But each license gives more but previous licenses will be removed to stop too much income. So if you're promoted from private to corporal, you'd have your private license removed.

Promotions will be based on how well the player roleplays and does his/her job as a blufor "Soldier / Cop" or as an Opfor soldier.

You're probably wondering why a change in paychecks? Well, it will "Make" the player want to roleplay and if they continue the good roleplay, it will reward them :D

Although, you did say 3 factions. I don't see this working for independents as they can get 1mil easily from a kill spree :/ But higher rank = better weapons? I guess?

    5

    I'm a fan of it :*

Yeah I know it would be harder to implement it for independents, however I thought they might complain if they were left out ;)

  8. Good day everyone

I started playing on the server 2 weeks ago or so, and I feel like an implementation of ranks for the 3 factions would be a good idea, especially for BluFor and OpFor.

    How can it work?

Like a levelling progress, you need X amount of points for the next rank etc. Points can be earned by doing things your faction already does. If you're BluFor and OpFor it could be killing independents, terrorists, arresting civilians and such. Independents will just get points for killing the other sides, as the things they do are a bit more limited

    Why have such a system?

Especially for BluFor and OpFor it will enforce better roleplay, especially if the higher ranking OpFor and BluFor will be able to ''control'' the lower ranked players. Now I'm not indicating full control over them and be able to boss them around, but more to mentor and guide the newer players into how you should properly play each faction.

I personally also feel like there is a 'lack' of grinding to do, not saying I want it to take 100 hours to achieve max rank, but it shouldn't be something that can be done in 2 hours either.

    Plenty of rewards!

Paychecks can also be, just like with licenses, based on how high your rank is. Perhaps also a special shop in all three factions giving them access to other vehicles, weapons or maybe just a little discount on things.

    To end it all

I am in no shape or form a dev or ever tried to be one. I have no idea how much work this will require. I simply proposed it. I got the idea from RISE where I used to play a lot, and the system really seemed to work there, of course, there can and will be a few issues but there are almost always issues with any ideas.

I hope you will take my idea, or a version of it, into consideration at any time. Let me know if anyone has any questions and I will be sure to answer them as quick as possible
