speed up the op-for de-arming process

Recommended Posts

I have been told that the op-for will be getting restrictions on the use of mI24's and other heavily armed vehicles in use with patrolling especially around the independent spawn area I suggest the at the process be sped up on the limitations being put in place so that the server game-play will be more enjoyable for the people playing on the independent team and will allow what is currently a sparse encounter that the independents have with blue-fore,civilians and check points to increase and it will allow the independents easier movement in their area which will allow the independents to make the money necessary to carry out their operations, and will increase the enjoyment people have as independent and as other factions.

As I said multiple times, the only thing that truly needs to happen is make it to where indep zone is a no fly zone and unless there is an active threat, only then can a helicopter engage a terrorist. Ground fighting only mainly. I do not/will not support de-arming opfor more than they already are.

Listen, I pretty much only play as independent and this is ridiculous.  Opfor does not need a "de-arming".  Maybe you need to change your attitude and stop focusing on getting past the Opfor and start focusing on killing them.  When I play as independent, I want a challenge and at the end of the day we are an just an insurgency.  Insurgencys fight warfare involving surprise attacks by small, simply armed groups on a nation armed with modern high-tech weaponry. War is never fair and we are not supposed to have it easy.  The fun is in the challenge.

if any of you had read any further than the title you would understand what the post is about its about more than de-arming and i can agree that the independents are a insurgency but it is a under-equipped insurgency compared to the opfor. and if you want to go off what smitty says in reality insurgents are not simply armed and they do not rely on suprie attacks all you have to do is look at actual conflicts to understand that. Now i would appreciate it if you read the more than the title before putting in your comments.

I thoroughly read your post before replying, that was unnecessary and pretty condescending.

Yup, that is how it is supposed to be.

Compared to conventional militaries they are simply armed and thus utilize guerrilla tactics AKA surprise attacks.  Real life examples include but are not limited to: Gauls in their resistance against the Roman Empire, United States in the American Revolution, Resistance movements in WWII, the Viet Cong in the Vietnam War, Taliban and other Mujahid groups in the Middle East.

You know how much an MI-24 costs? I wouldn't want to lose chopper after chopper and go back for more.

Shooting down any helicopter is easy if you have a fucking DSHkM and two brain cells.

To be fair, all an MI-24 needs is an AI and a brain cell and you won't shoot him down.

Carry vehicle ammo, fuel cans, you don't even need to go back to base to rearm.

Sure, I'll give you the AI thing. I have seen them put on mounted guns and aimbot shit. Is there a way to lower the skill of AI in any way?

Vehicle ammo in mi24s doesnt work. Ive tried. They dont work in quite a few other vehicles either.

Yes it does, you have to get into the gunner seat. Fly off the map, land, rearm, problem solved. I've done it a lot before myself. Hell L-39 can do it mid air.

There is no "Opfor de-arming process."

Once the ranking and whitelisting is in, certain vehicles will require qualifications or specific ranks to use, however nothing is being removed.

I could agree on putting limitation to Helicopters on the line of no Mi-24s unless direct threat or unless escorting Opfor units to Checkpoint Bravo. But when it comes to armour... Opfor armours are pretty weak. Mostly in close range encounters with Indies. I feel like on that point there's not much to do other than restricting Opfor to using some utterly useless vehicles like the BRDMs and the BTR-40s or even the T-55s... :/ I like the idea of the TLA being more of an occupation force whilst Blufor is more of a policing force. Making the TLA weaker will only make it that much harder for people trying to RP in Rasman due to the already constant slugfest that is that city at present. whenever I'm civilian I avoid Rasman like the plague due to the sheer number of explosions that happen there. I feel safer mining in the south. Which is pretty ironic considering the south is more or less the Wild West. I don't think that making the border less secure will improve the server one bit. (except for those who want to Allah Ackbar in Rasman....)
